For 5th graders, not only is the Safety Patrol Program a job of commitment and service throughout the school year, it is also an honor and a privilege. To be considered, a student must display leadership qualities, be responsible, respectful, cooperative, and helpful to their fellow students and teachers. While they are on-duty, Patrols must observe the school rules and set a great example for their fellow Langford Elementary students.
Additionally, Patrols must assist with morning student drop-off and after school pickup. Duties will include:
- opening and closing car doors
- being courteous to everyone
- assisting others in crossing the crosswalk safely.
Patrols will display and take care of the United States and Texas State flags and will be monitoring student behavior in the hallways both before and after school.
The Safety Patrol program is a great way to show school spirit and become a leader in the community.
If your child would like to apply to be on Safety Patrol for the 2021-2022 school year, it is required that you fill out the following form: Safety Patrol Parent Agreement
