Langford Elementary’s Student Council gives students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is the voice of the student body.
In the fall, each homeroom class in 4th & 5th grade elects a Student Council representative. Representatives will meet with Ms. Ramirez and Mrs. Mitchell during the school day to work on team-building and service learning projects. Past Student Council projects have included:
- Grandparent’s Day greeters
- Fall Food Drive
- Pennies for Patients (change drive for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)
- Earth Day activities
- Anti-bullying play and No Place for Hate events
